December 23rd just got here too quickly

I'm currently in panic mode. Typically at this stage of Christmas all of my shopping is done, the menu is set for Christmas Eve and my presents are neatly wrapped under the tree...




Not this year :( I don't know how it happened but it's now December 23rd and tomorrow I will have to finish wrapping presents, go to the grocery store and purchase some last minute gifts.



On the bright side, I got a manicure and pedicure today. Hopefully the craziness just means that it will be an extra special holiday.

Great Saturday with my favorite people

This weekend we were so happy to be able to spend a lot of time with the munchkin

On Saturday we ended up at Gymboree for a music and play class

I wish I had a playroom like this at home

He loves it :)

We then met up with uncle Tony for lunch and Matt had a great time playing with chopsticks

Finally we went to go see Santa

I find that my favorite days are the simple ones spent with my little family

Do you know what I love about Departures magazine? They always have articles about places I have never even dreamed of. Today I was inspired to visit Big Sur in the northern coast of California.

Wish I was there now...

The reason married women never loose weight

So I'm home hanging out, planning my day for tomorrow. Husband is sitting next to me watching CNN.

Husband "I'm going to the grocery store"
Me "why?"
Husband "we need laundry detergent" (he thought of this while watching the news)
Me "ok... please buy something for tomorrow's dinner while  you are there"

So he leaves to the grocery store and comes back with Tilapia, laundry detergent and a pack of Milano cookies. MY FAVORITE COOKIES IN THE WORLD! Which happen to be 1000 calories per serving.

Anyway... just thought I would make myself feel better about eating the cookies by blaming husband. By the way... I believe he secretly went to the grocery store JUST to get the Milano cookies... the laundry detergent story was a scam.

I'm the WORST blogger EVER!

I started this blog (as you can see) back in May and never bothered with it again. My tivo broke this week so I thought it would be a good time to give this another shot. I'm also hoping to finish reading "Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks. The movie is being released soon and I'm a big fan of reading the book before seeing the movie. Feel free to join me.
