Time Travel Thursday

Today was the 4th successful day in my attempt to reduce my waistline by April (dam Victorias secret catalogs). Waking up at 5:30 hasn’t been easy but don’t you always feel so much better after a morning workout. I’m hoping I don’t fall of the wagon again, I fell off the p90x wagon a few months ago and it was nearly impossible to jump back on.

I read so many awesome blogs and I noticed that they always have a day dedicated to a subject…… so I’m officially starting “Time Travel Thursdays”. It will just go back to some sort of memory.

Happy Hump Day

I woke up today wishing I could be there:

Instead of at work. On the bright side... I have tickets to the Miami Beach food and wine festival this weekend. Hubby and I can't wait. Have a beautiful day!

Meet the munckin

My little man turned 1 in November... since then he has learned so much. His favorite words are: light, tree, daddy, ball and wow wow (dog). He is not walking yet which has me a little anxious since most babies his age are, but I hear it's a blessing in disguise. We love him so much and I just couldn't imagine our lives without him. He is growing up so fast and I just can't believe it. Rainy Monday

I woke up this morning at 5:30 am determined to get an early jog in (disclosure: this never happens). It would be just my luck that it was pouring down rain (it never rains in Miami), so what was a girl to do? Head right back to bed and snuggle under the covers with hubby until it was time to get up for work. Monday +rain= lots of traffic = BLAH! That’s how I felt this morning.

Weekend Update

I had the best weekend. Saturday afternoon hubby and I had some family and friends over for a little unexpected get together. We ordered pizza and hung around for most of the afternoon. Saturday night some of the girls and I decided to head over to Meat Market. The food was amazing and the ambiance was very cool. I forgot my "old" camera at home but here is a picture:

Currently dreaming about...

I have been looking into getting a new camera for months. The one I have is almost 4 years old and I’m sure you know what can happen within the technology field in 4 years. It will be really hard to let go of the one I have because I got it on my honeymoon in Paris (after accidentally breaking the one I took on the trip). Though my old camera and I have very fond memories…. It’s time for a new shiny camera. This is the one I’m looking at:

Preparing for summer

Summer is only 2 months away (for those of us lucky enough to live in Miami) so the hubby and I decided it would be a good idea to get the munchkin started on swimming lessons. Tonight was his first class and he was so good. He really loved being in the water and didn't reject any of the activities. We had such a great time. Can't wait till we can practice at the beach.

Testing blogpress lite for iPhone

I'm a huge iPhone fan... It's my favorite tech toy. I decided that if I really want blog daily, I needed to get at blogging app. This is my test run.

Speaking of technology... I really need a new camera (i'm sure you can tell by the lack of quality in my pictures). I'm hoping to get a new one in the next couple of months.

Pre-Valentines Day Birthday

Joe's (hubby) birthday is February 13th and every year I plan something huge because I feel bad that he has to share his special day with the day dedicated to husbands spoiling their wives. This year (at his request) I decided to keep the celebration light. The morning started with a cute birthday card for daddy from Matt. After breakfast I stepped out to run some errands and was surprised to find the most beautiful Valentine’s Day flowers from Matt and hubby. The plans for the evening were to go bowling with a group of friends. We had originally planned to take Matt with us but my fantastic aunt came to the rescue and offered to give us night off for the birthday festivities.

After bowling we stopped by Town for dinner and a few drinks. Overall a fun night.

Oh... and the weather was a perfect 55 degrees in Miami. Feeling bad for everyone who has been dealing with the snow lately.

Fun in Utah

We had an awesome week in Utah with some of our best friends. What a beautiful place...specially when you are used to the Miami landscape. We did some winter sports and even had a chance to check out a film at Sundance. Hubby and I missed our little man who was back at home but we had a great time. Can't wait to do it again.
